Bio

Andy Richard is a senior managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice. He focuses on clients in the real estate sector, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), financial sponsors and real estate operating companies. Notable transactions since joining Evercore include advising STORE Capital on its sale to GIC and Oak Street, LXP Industrial on its activism defense against Land & Buildings, Annaly Capital on the sale of its commercial real estate business to Slate Asset Management, Granite Point Mortgage Trust on its PIPE issued to PIMCO, and Fundamental Income on its investment from Brookfield. Mr. Richard has also originated and executed strategic transactions for such clients as Amherst Residential, Cadillac Fairview, Howard Hughes Corp., Invitation Homes, Lineage Logistics, Prologis, SITE Centers, Spirit Realty, Starwood Property Trust, and UDR. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Richard was a managing director at Credit Suisse, where he was head of U.S. REITs. Before that, he was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, working in New York and in London as head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) real estate. Mr. Richard earned an A.B. in English with honors from Stanford University and an MBA in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar.
