Anand Marathe is a senior managing director in the firm’s healthcare strategic advisory practice. Mr. Marathe has over 15 years of experience advising healthcare services companies, with a focus on pharma services. He has extensive experience advising contract research organizations, contract development and manufacturing organizations as well as software, data and other companies catering to the biopharma industry. In addition, he has advised companies across managed care, care providers, pharmacy and related services. His recent experience includes advising AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora) on its acquisition of PharmaLex; Arsenal on its strategic investment in OncoHealth; Atara Biotherapeutics on the sale of its ATOM manufacturing facility to Fuji; Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and TPG on the sale of Kelsey-Seybold to Optum; Parexel International on its sale to EQT and Goldman Sachs Asset Management; PWNHealth and Home Access Health on the sale to Everlywell; Charles River on its acquisition of CiToxLab; and Aetna on its sale to CVS. He has also advised on a broad range of initial public offerings and capital raises. Prior to joining Evercore in 2015, Mr. Marathe was a director at Barclays in the healthcare group. He began his career at Bear Stearns and has worked in software development and project management. Mr. Marathe earned a B.S. with honors in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Columbia University.
