Alexander Rayden is a Senior Managing Director of Evercore and a founding member of its Private Funds Group. Mr. Rayden leads the PFG team coverage of institutional investors across Europe & Middle East as well as being involved in all aspects of originating, developing, and managing capital raising mandates for financial sponsors. Mr. Rayden has been involved in global capital raisings for private fund sponsors across multiple strategies including Buyout, Infrastructure, Private Debt, Energy and Real Estate. Mr. Rayden was named as a winner of the 2015 European Emerging Leaders Awards by The M&A Advisor; included by Private Equity International (PEI) in the 2018 “The Rainmaker 50” list of fundraisers; and in the 2019 “Future 40 Under 40: The next leaders of private equity”. From 2015-2019, Mr. Rayden served on the Board of Directors of a leading private equity backed global software company. Mr. Rayden currently serves as a Board Member and Trustee of a London based community charity. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Rayden worked in the Alternatives Advisory & Placement Group at Neuberger Berman, acquired by Evercore in 2010, and before that in the same group at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Rayden began his career at Patron Capital Partners, a real estate private equity fund. Mr. Rayden holds a B.A. (Hons) in History from the London School of Economics & Political Science and an M.A. from the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Columbia University, New York.
