Michael Evans founded Evans & Evans, Inc. in 1989. As a Principal of Evans & Evans, he oversees the corporate finance activities of the firm both domestically and internationally. At the firm Michael has been responsible for client transactions in private placements, reverse mergers, IPOs and debt issuances. In addition, he has advised on many merger and acquisition transactions and has originated transactions for both purchasers and sellers. In aggregate he has advised on over $500 million in corporate finance transactions for Evans & Evans’ clients. He has acted as a Director for numerous public companies in Canada and the United States. Many of Evans & Evans’ corporate finance clients are internationally based with a particular concentration in Asia. Michael has a professional working proficiency in Mandarin and spends a considerable amount of time in Asia on corporate finance-related activities. Prior to founding Evans & Evans, Inc. Michael worked in the venture capital industry in Western Canada for several years and began his business career in marketing and sales in the technology sector with Wang Canada Ltd. in 1983. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland, where he graduated with honors, and the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Business Valuator and Accredited Senior Appraiser. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the Chartered Business Valuators Institute and the American Society of Appraisers.
