John is a Senior Managing Director, US Head of Investment Banking and US Head of Industrials & Energy Investment Banking for Ernst & Young Capital Advisors, LLC (EYCA). With over 20 years of experience, John has been involved in over 100 completed transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, exclusive sales, divestitures and carve-outs, joint ventures and general financial advisory assignments, as well as raising over US$20 billion in lead managed equity and debt securities. Prior to joining EYCA, John was Head of the Industrial Growth and Services Group at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. (Oppenheimer) and Head of US Diversified Industrials at its predecessor firm, CIBC World Markets (CIBC). Prior to Oppenheimer and CIBC, John was with Goldman Sachs in its Mergers & Strategic Advisory Group and, before that, with Lehman Brothers in its Global Natural Resources Group and Mergers & Acquisitions Group. John received an MBA from Rice University and a BBA from the University of Houston. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
