Matthew Holtz Bio

As a Senior Director of Corporate Development & Strategy at Embarc Advisors, Matt serves as a strategic collaborator and trusted advisor to clients, providing deep expertise and guidance across M&A, raising capital, and corporate strategy. Matt has 10+ years of experience in private equity, strategy, and corporate development. Most notably, he had worked for Regent L.P., a middle-market private equity group in Los Angeles, where he focused on corporate carveouts and innovating and transforming businesses. While advancing professionally, Matt also developed domain expertise in technology and electric vehicle strategy; in fact, in December 2020, he helped the electric vehicle company, Canoo, successfully IPO. Matt’s educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Matt lives in Los Angeles, California, however he spent his early years in South Africa and the UK. In his free time, you can find him traveling the globe or playing soccer and pickleball.
