Bio

Chuck is a Managing Director with EdgePoint Capital Advisors. In this role, he is responsible for advising the firm’s clients in matters related to mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions. Chuck brings almost 25 years of investment banking experience to EdgePoint, most recently as Managing Director of the Industrial, Commercial & Infrastructure Services practice at Citizens M&A. Responsible for deal origination and execution, he worked closely with privately-owned, investor backed and publicly traded businesses in verticals such as commercial services, engineering and construction, vendor-managed services, environmental services, human capital management, business process outsourcing and others. He was also Chair of the Fairness Opinion Committee and spent time on the Investment Banking Committee for engagement approvals. Previous to Citizens, Chuck was a founding member and Partner of Western Reserve Partners, a leading M&A advisory services boutique founded in 2004 and acquired by Citizens in 2017. In addition to leading the firm’s efforts in the Business & Commercial Services sector, he led the firm’s Financial Opinions practice and held various other managerial roles. Prior to Western Reserve, Chuck was a Senior Associate at KeyBanc Capital Markets, an Associate at McDonald Investments and an Analyst at ING Barings in New York, where he started his career. In between Citizens and EdgePoint, Chuck served briefly as Chief Operating Officer at River SaaS Capital, a family-run venture capital firm providing debt and equity support to North American-based SaaS companies. It was a tremendous learning experience with a first-rate team, but he quickly missed the role of “trusted advisor”, working alongside his clients’ in pursuit of their strategic objectives. When presented the opportunity to get back to his boutique roots, the caliber of EdgePoint’s team, pipeline and business model were an enticing fit. Outside of the office, Chuck serves on the Boards of Directors of ACG Cleveland and Catholic Charities Dioceses of Cleveland. Previous Board service includes Lake Erie Nature & Science Center, The First Tee of Cleveland, JCU Entrepreneurs Association and time spent as an Executive Volunteer with United Way of Great Cleveland. He has earned several “40 Under 40” designations in his field and was a member of Leadership Cleveland’s Class of 2016. Chuck earned his BSBA in Finance, with a minor in Economics, from the Boler School of Business at John Carroll University. Chuck resides in Bay Village, OH with his wife and three children.
