With over 12 years of corporate development and investment banking experience, Michaël joined East Wind in 2009 from MESA, where he built the firm's education and business services practice. Michaël brings a unique combination of experience as a corporate development officer for a Fortune 500 media company and as an investment banker for traditional and new media companies. As an investment banker, Michaël has provided advisory services to numerous corporate clients and financial investors, including Kaplan, ALEKS, PrepMe, The Wicks Group, Weston Presidio, AutoSkill, Nebraska Book Company, and CFM Publishing. Prior to joining MESA in 2006, Michaël was Vice President, Business Development for McGraw-Hill Education where he led the publisher's global strategy and mergers and acquisitions activities. During his tenure, McGraw-Hill Education completed 13 acquisitions and equity investments in the U.S., UK, and China, as well as two divestitures. Michaël joined McGraw-Hill Education in March 2001 after several assignments in the leadership program of its parent company, The McGraw-Hill Companies. Prior to McGraw-Hill, he held client engagements at Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance in Europe. Michaël holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor's degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, France.
