David joined East Wind and launched its consumer industry coverage in 2010. He commenced his career at Goldman Sachs in 2000 as an equity research analyst focused on the retail industry, after which he evaluated and managed investments in consumer-related sectors as Senior Analyst at hedge fund Derchin Management and family office GMM Capital from 2002 to 2008. Subsequently, David consulted on key strategic initiatives to a number of privately-held consumer brands and to private equity investors. David graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Member of the Children’s Board of Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
