Bio

Marina Mena is a director in the Madrid office and part of the Corporate Finance practice. She has more than 18 years of professional experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Marina was a director at Forest Partners, a position she held from September 2013 to February 2019, at which time Forest Partners was acquired by Duff & Phelps. Before that, she worked in M&A at Lincoln International and in corporate finance at KPMG. Marina has a strong M&A background in both origination and execution of buy- and sell-side mandates for financial and strategic investors, as well as economic valuations, viability studies and strategic analysis for corporate development. Her international experience is grounded by living and working in Ireland and Portugal where she was involved in several project finance and transaction services engagements. Over the last five years she has participated in various restructuring engagements, including the coordination of the cross-border sale of various business units and affiliates of La Seda de Barcelona, worth a total of close to €1 billion in the context of the insolvency proceedings affecting the Spanish chemicals group. Marina received a degree in business administration and actuarial science, doctoral studies in financial economics and postgraduate studies at IE Business School.
