Don Levy is a managing director in the New York office of Duff & Phelps, and a member of the Transaction Advisory Services team. Don has approximately 15 years of professional experience, encompassing M&A transaction advisory services, management consulting focused on distressed companies, real estate acquisitions analysis and public accounting. Don is a CPA and specializes in analysis of company financial statements and operations, as well as strategic advisory services to clients on acquisitions and sales. Don has extensive experience in working closely with company management teams in devising and structuring strategic plans. Don’s experience in M&A advisory services includes providing strategic and financial buyers with detailed financial and operational analyses. He has worked with potential buyers, investors and sellers in various industries, including technology, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and consumer products, among others. Don was most recently a manager in BDO Consulting’s restructuring group, where he focused on both restructuring and M&A transaction advisory services. He has experience advising clients in areas of M&A due diligence, bankruptcy and insolvency, and restructuring and turnaround matters. Prior to joining BDO Consulting, Don was an associate with Zolfo Cooper focused on out-of-court restructuring and turnaround assignments. He has also held positions in real estate acquisitions analysis and treasury. He began his career in public accounting servicing large REITs and private real estate funds. Don received a BS in accounting from SUNY Binghamton and is a member of the AICPA, Association for Corporate Growth (Board Member and Young Professionals Committee Chair) and the Turnaround Management Association. Don is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, and a FINRA Series 63 and 79 registered representative.
