Demian Koester is a director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice and operates from Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. He has over 15 years of experience in transaction advisory and corporate M&A. Demian has worked on more than 100 due diligence and M&A projects in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. The industries include but were not limited to the food and retail, automotive, industrials, media and entertainment, healthcare and technology and telecom sectors. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Demian led the M&A function of the food wholesaler METRO Deutschland GmbH and was a project head in the Corporate M&A department of METRO AG. Before that, he held roles in the transaction advisory groups of EY, Accuracy and KPMG in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. Demian studied business administration and accounting and finance at Muenster and Manchester universities and holds a diploma in business management (Diplom-Kaufmann equivalent to MScBM). In 2013, he qualified as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
