César Rocha is a managing director in the Global Restructuring Advisory practice, based in the Madrid office. He also leads the firm’s Operational Restructuring and Deal Value Creation practice in Spain. He has over 20 years of experience in operations consulting. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, César was involved as senior advisor in deal origination and post-deal transformation initiatives for strategy and operational consultancies such as Arthur D. Little, Accenture Strategy and Alix Partners. Cesar spent 14 years at Strategy&, a part of the PwC network, most recently serving as partner and head of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions solutions group. César has developed a number of value-driven projects for multinational corporations and private equity firms in various sectors, including M&A integration and carve-out projects of up to €3b in deal value and complex restructuring processes of up to 2,400 in headcount reduction, managing diverse and multicultural teams up to 200 people. César has extensive experience working for private equity, with clients including CVC, CINVEN, Permira, L Capital, Charterhouse, Doughty Hanson, PAI Partners, Macquarie, 3i, Helios Investment Partners, MCH, Impala, Change Capital Partners and Corpfin. César has worked with clients in a variety of sectors, including food and beverage (Coca-Cola, DeOleo, Freixenet, GB foods); retail (DIA, Dinosol); travel and leisure (Iberia and British Airways, Amadeus); telecom (Telefónica, R-Cable); oil and gas (Repsol, CEPSA); utilities (Viesgo); financial services (savings banks); and insurance (Mapfre, Direct Line). César received an executive MBA from IESE, completed an executive education program in Digital Transformation from INSEAD and holds a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Vigo.
