Brian Sipes is a managing director in Duff & Phelps’ Dallas office, where he is a member of the Transaction Advisory Services group. He has almost 20 years of transaction, advisory and due diligence experience working with private equity and corporate clients. Brian has advised on well over 200 transactions ranging in size from $10 million to $5 billion, encompassing a wide array of industries, including manufacturing, oilfield services, distribution, food and beverage, consumer products, building materials, transportation, healthcare, technology and financial services. Brian specializes in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence bringing extensive experience analyzing the quality of earnings, key business and earnings drivers, financial projections and working capital along with the review of purchase agreements and post closing purchase price disputes. Brian joined Duff & Phelps after being a director in Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services group. Brian previously was the director of Corporate Development for Flowserve Corporation, where he led the global acquisition and divestitures activities and participated in assessing strategic alternatives for this S&P 500 industrial manufacturer. Prior to this, he was a director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Transaction Services Practice providing M&A support to financial and strategic buyers and sellers. Brian began his career with Deloitte & Touche providing audit services to manufacturing and healthcare companies. Brian earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. in finance and management strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant and currently holds the Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses.
