Andy Murray is a managing director on the Transaction Tax Advisory team within the Transaction Advisory Services practice and has 20 years’ experience advising businesses on their international tax matters. Andy’s expertise and interest is in guiding clients through the myriad tax risks associated with operating globally in a rapidly changing domestic and international tax landscape. He has a deep understanding of the major holding company and fund jurisdiction regimes and the BEPS and ATAD changes that overlay the domestic framework. He has extensive experience in the international tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructuring and investment funds and is able to cover all elements of fund advisory, including structuring, deal advisory and tax risk management. Prior to Duff & Phelps, Andy was a partner at Milestone International Tax Partners, a boutique international tax advisory firm he co-founded. Andy also previously worked for Lehman Brothers Equity Capital Markets and PwC. Andy is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and was admitted to the New Zealand bar in 1999. Andy is also a member of the International Bar Association and International Fiscal Association.
