Alpa Kamdar is a managing director and the technology leader specializing in IT/Cyber due diligence within the Transaction Advisory Services practice, based in the San Francisco office. She has over 22 years of experience in technology diligence services advising clients across various stages of the M&A lifecycle. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Alpa led the west region technology diligence practice at RSM, where she focused on technology advisory services for private equity clients on both the buy- and sell-side and managed post-close carve-outs and integration initiatives. Before RSM, Alpa was at PwC where she served as M&A IT integration manager and was the solution lead for the M&A IT blueprint service offerings as part of the firm’s technology services. Alpa provides M&A and divestiture technology diligence services to private equity investors, corporate companies and investment banks for both sell-side and buy-side of the transactions and has worked over 100 transactions, primarily ranging from $20 million to $2 billion in revenue. Her areas of expertise include integration, platform acquisition, carve-outs, stand-alone and divestiture of business processes and systems with primary focus in designing IT strategy, developing cost and revenue synergies, helping companies with exit strategies and deploying short- and long-term initiatives post close. Her diverse background includes working with large corporations, mid-size private equity firms, portfolio companies and investment banks across a range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, retail, media and entertainment, engineering and construction, technology and professional services. Alpa received an MBA and bachelor’s degree in commerce with majors in accounting and finance from the University of Mumbai.
