Alexandre Pierantoni is a managing director and Head of Brazil Corporate Finance in the M&A practice of Duff & Phelps, based in the Sao Paulo/ Brazil office. Alexandre has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience, with particular expertise in consumer, industrial, IT, healthcare and educational sectors. Alexandre has a strong M&A background in both origination and execution of buy and sell side mandates for financial and strategic investors, as well as economic valuations, viability studies and strategic analysis for corporate development. His international experience is grounded by living and working experiences in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. Alexandre also oversees Duff & Phelps Corporate Finance activities in Latin America. Responsible for the origination and execution of several acquisition and sale transactions in Brazil and Latin America, Alexandre has represented large national and multinational companies, as well as financial investors/ sponsors in buy and sell side mandates such as Piemonte Holding (Project Elea), Apax Partners, Carlyle, Vinci Partners, Gualapack Group, Universidade Tiradentes/ UNIT, Bacardi-Martini, Grupo JD (Labrunier and Fazendas Sao Marcelo), Petrobrás, CCL Industries, Arlington Group, Damovo Group, Diebold, Ericsson, Grupo Multicoisas, Graffo Embalagens, Coremal Industies, Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas/ FMU, Mars, Sonoco, NEC, Rakuten and Unilever. Alexandre started his working career in 1992 at PricewaterhouseCoopers M&A practice, where he became a partner in 2007. From 2014 to 2017 he was a partner in a local M&A boutique firm, joining Duff & Phelps in 2017. Alexandre holds a degree in business administration from Germany and a degree in economics in Brazil, where he also holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP). He has also participated in executive programs at Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management, New York Institute of Finance, MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology and FGV - Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He has been a volunteer member of ENDEAVOR in Brazil since 2001. Alexandre is fluent in English and German, in addition to his native language, Portuguese.
