and access,
Matthew Schroeder is a Partner at the firm and his practice centers around counseling individuals and families on wealth transfer and estate planning; federal estate, gift and generation-skipping tax planning; estate and trust administration; and business succession planning. In so doing, Matthew often utilizes revocable living trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and family limited liability companies as estate planning tools. Prior to returning to Donatelli & Coules, Matthew worked at law firms located in Chicago and Wheaton. Matthew is involved in the local communities through organizations such as the DuPage County Estate Planning Council and the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Matthew lives in La Grange Park and sits as a member of the Board of Directors for La Grange Park Little League, Share Food Share Love Food Pantry, and the Village Field Club of La Grange Park. Matthew is also the former Vice-Chair (2020-2021) and Chair (2021-2022) of the Tax Law Section of the DuPage County Bar Association. While Matthew enjoys playing the occasional round of golf in his free time, he most enjoys spending that time with his wife, Ashley, their two sons, Henry and Harrison, and their two dogs, Billie and Charlie.
