Bio

Shawn Thompson has 25 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience. He provides merger and acquisition, valuation, financial advisory and restructuring services for diverse companies, typically those with enterprise values up to $200 million. He has executed transactions in a range of industries including consumer products, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, retail and businesses services. Prior to Diamond, Shawn worked at JP Morgan, Barrington Associates (now Intrepid), Mosaic Capital and other middle market investment banking firms. He has completed over 50 transactions in sell-side advisory, buy-side advisory, leveraged buy-outs, restructuring and valuations. At JP Morgan, he was part of the asset based lending and global leveraged finance group, which at the time was the top ranked arranger of syndicated loans for leveraged buyouts, initial public offerings and commercial borrowers. Shawn brings significant operations and financial restructuring experience to the firm. He served as acting CFO and restructuring advisor for Opal Concepts, a service company and franchisor with $100 million in revenue. He was also a director at XRoads Solutions Group, a turnaround management, restructuring and corporate advisory services firm. Shawn has worked in technology consulting for several companies focusing on CRM development and operational consulting. Shawn was Magna Cum Laude during his B.S. in Economics at Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Shawn is licensed (Series 79, 63) by FINRA as a General Securities Principal. Shawn enjoys playing and listening to live music, reading, and spending time with his son, including being beaten at video games, and attending sporting events across Los Angeles.
