Michael J. DeDonato is a Managing Director at Diamond Capital Advisors. Michael brings comprehensive experience from his decades-long career directing finances for companies across multiple industries. He is passionate about mentorship, and his counsel aids numerous business owners towards growth and successful exits. As a Consultant with both the Small Business Development Center and the California Manufacturing Technology Consulting Group, Michael meets with lower to middle market business owners on a daily basis to answer their most pressing questions and advise on strategic growth. He started his own advisory services company in 2011 to forward decades of financial management expertise to entrepreneurs. In addition to providing qualitative guidance, Michael has raised tens of millions in capital for his clients through traditional and nontraditional lending, grant, and equity opportunities. Michael’s insights come from an operational standpoint. Having worked up from an Accounting Clerk to a CFO, Michael builds upon a seasoned career directing finances for companies spanning the manufacturing, construction, consumer goods, healthcare, and aerospace and defense sectors. Most recently, his due diligence for a healthcare services and anesthesiologist company ensured smooth and profitable sales. Previously, Michael’s projections and analyses as a CFO supported a dental laboratory’s growth towards an exit valued at 80 million. Prior CFO and Controller positions have included Klune Industries, Paramount Scaffold, Spectratek Technologies, Continental Forge, Vantage Associates, and Pacific Data Products. Earlier in his career, Michael negotiated multimillion dollar government contracts for aerospace and defense companies such as GTE Government Systems and, Beranek, and Newman. While at BBN, Michael earned his MBA and while working full time he earned his juris doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. In addition, Michael volunteers as a martial arts Master Instructor for the City of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Department. He ranks as a 7th degree black belt in traditional Okinawan Karate-Dō and is passionate about mentoring youth towards achieving their goals.
