Bio

Lawrence R. Johnson is a Managing Director at Diamond Capital Advisors. Larry has over 25 years of management consulting and advisory experience, and his leadership has driven value in positions such as former Board of Directors Audit Committee Chairman. Prior to Diamond, Larry was the Co-head of the Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance National Private Placement Group, where he led numerous buy and sell-side transactions with specific focus in the food & beverage and consumer products industries. Within his M&A expertise, Larry has expanded revenues by 300%+ by expanding distribution, building brand awareness, and scaling customer relationships including major Fortune 500 clients. Larry has demonstrated value to family-owned restaurant chains and ethnic foods manufacturers in the middle market space by providing strategic advice and identifying liquidity opportunities or buyers. He has negotiated partnerships to develop operations through joint venture, co-packing, third-party distribution or manufacturing, or other outsourcing solutions. In addition, Larry has directed all aspects of business administration, marketing, and ongoing sales efforts that have given him an intimate knowledge of the challenges that clients face. Larry currently serves as Program Lead Advisor for the Small Business Development Center at El Camino College, where he advises entrepreneurs and small business owners in launching, growing and funding their business ventures, particularly in the food & beverage industry. He also actively curates artisanal branded food products through LRJ Foods, a business he founded in 2004. Larry has an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University in New York and a B.S. in Economics from Boston College, Chestnut Hill.
