Bio

David co-founded Diamond in 2009. He has over 25 years of investment banking experience. From this and his extensive operational experience, David understands the value-drivers that attract buyers. This enables him to present his clients business in a very compelling manner that results in maximizing value. In addition, owning and selling two of his own businesses, provides David with key insight to better advise his clients during one of the most important times in a business owner’s career. Prior to Diamond, David co-founded Chelsea Capital, a boutique investment banking firm, which was sold to Houlihan, Lokey, where David became a Director in the Investment Banking Division and completed many diverse transactions including sell-side, buy-side, leverage buy-outs and recapitalizations. David also owned, operated and successfully exited both an auto parts manufacturing company and a cosmetics business. In his auto parts company, founded by his grandfather, David worked in every facet and ultimately became President. He prepared the company for sale and assisted in closing the transaction. He also acquired a cosmetic company (Bodyography) where he added management, developed more advanced products, and increased sales and marketing support. He sold that company for a profit and returned to investment banking with Diamond. David has a B.A. from Washington University and a law degree from NYU School of Law. David holds Series 7, 79, and 63 with FINRA. In addition being a “photo enthusiast” (davidhermanphotography.com), he is also an avid tennis player and won a bronze medal at the Maccabiah Games (Israel’s version of the Summer Olympics) in 2009.
