Steven Schweitzer Bio

Steven Schweitzer is a Managing Director at DelMorgan & Co. with nearly 30 years of experience in leveraged finance, capital markets, M&A, transaction execution and business development. Throughout his career, he has conducted extensive due diligence on companies across a panoply of industries and has supported private equity-owned businesses on sell-side readiness, carveouts, merger integration planning, post-merger integration execution and corporate development initiatives. Mr. Schweitzer has also managed multi-billion dollar fixed income portfolios of loans and bonds for clients, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies and mutual funds. Before joining DelMorgan, Mr. Schweitzer was a Managing Director at Accordion, a financial consulting firm that works exclusively in the Office of the CFO of private equity-owned businesses. Before Accordion, Mr. Schweitzer was a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at The Swarthmore Group, managing short-duration, intermediate, core, core-plus and long duration portfolios. Prior to The Swarthmore Group, Mr. Schweitzer was a Managing Director at Cohen-Esrey Capital Partners, where he was responsible for helping to launch a Class B, multi-family, value-add co-investment fund. Prior to Cohen-Esrey, he was a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Shenkman Capital Management in New York City. Mr. Schweitzer joined Shenkman Capital in 1996 and became a portfolio manager in 2004, managing or co-managing multiple fixed income portfolios of U.S. high-yield and bank loan portfolios for institutional and retail investors for 15 years. Prior to his promotion to portfolio manager, Mr. Schweitzer was a Vice President and Senior Credit Analyst at Shenkman Capital for 8 years. Mr. Schweitzer holds an M.B.A. in Finance & Investments from the Zicklin School of Business at Bernard Baruch College and a B.A. from Binghamton University.
