John Barry IV Bio

John J. Barry IV is a Managing Director at DelMorgan & Co. He is a seasoned investment banker and founder of Two River Ventures LLC, a capital advisory firm providing non-dilutive growth capital solutions to fast-growing technology and ESG companies. With nearly 30 years of experience, Mr. Barry has developed and led financial services operations from the ground up, transforming startups into mature, profitable businesses. He has underwritten or co-managed over $500 billion in debt and equity transactions for municipalities, utility companies, and public and private corporations, leveraging his expertise across multiple sectors. He has held leadership positions at ABN-AMRO, Lasalle National Bank, Amherst, Sovereign Securities Group, Bonds.com, Mizuho and Tribal Capital. In 2005, Mr. Barry founded Bonds.com, the first "All to All" FINRA-registered broker/dealer and licensed Alternative Trading System. As Chairman, CEO and President, Mr. Barry self-funded the company and oversaw its growth from inception to a publicly traded entity (BDCG). During his tenure, he developed relationships with over 2,200 customer accounts in just two years. Under his leadership, Bonds.com pioneered capital market efficiencies and was ultimately acquired by the London Stock Exchange in 2014. Following the success of Bonds.com, Mr. Barry co-founded Tribal Capital Markets, LLC in 2015, in partnership with the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, which became the largest full-service Native American financial services firm. Mr. Barry led the development of the firm’s DCM, Public Finance and Alternative Credit business lines, and at varying times he also was the Chief Compliance Officer, COO and CEO. He played a critical role in securing $375MM of debt financing for the expansion of the Morongo Casino through a multi-tranche private placement. His experience also includes providing non-dilutive growth capital to 19 IP-rich technology companies using insurance-wrapped debt leveraging the IP as collateral. Some of these transactions included funding ESG initiatives such as water purification, battery storage, EV’s and renewable fuel projects. Mr. Barry is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences, including the American Bankers Association, Government Finance Officers Association and the Native American Finance Officers Association. Mr. Barry is a graduate of Georgetown University with a B.S. in Psychology.
