Barbara Grenell is a Sector Specialist in the Healthcare practice at Daybreak Capital Partners. Dr. Grenell is also Co-Founder and President at Preferred Health Strategies (PHS), a national healthcare consulting company specializing in strategic and business planning for medical device manufacturers, hospitals, physician groups and other health care organizations. Dr. Grenell’s background includes over 30 years of experience in the strategic planning, business development and contracting area in the healthcare field. Throughout her career she’s worked with various large organizations and companies such as General Motors and the City of New York. Prior to founding PHS, Dr. Grenell was the Director of PPO Development for Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New York. Prior to Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Dr. Grenell was Senior Medical Research Consultant for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia. Dr. Grenell also holds experience at the nationally known Research Department at Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania. Dr. Grenall received her B.A. degree from Queens College, City University of New York and her Ph.D. degree in Sociomedical Sciences from Columbia University, New York, NY.
