Michael “Max” Maxworthy is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking group. He has over 20 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience, which includes public & private companies, private equity and venture capital firms, advising on mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy & development, and capital raising. He has been named to M&A and IDD’s Top International Dealmakers “40 Under 40” three times. Before joining D.A. Davidson, Max co-founded Marlin & Associates, an investment bank focused on software, information technology and tech-enabled business service firms. Max began his career as a research assistant at Morgan Stanley before becoming a financial analyst at American International Group. He then moved to Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), where he led a team that provided in-depth research on industries, companies, transactions and valuations. His research was a cornerstone of VSS’s publications such as Communications Industry Report and Communications Industry Forecast. Max holds degrees in finance and management information systems from the School of Management at Binghamton University.
