Ramsey Gregg Bio

Ramsey Gregg is a Managing Director and Co-Head for the Investment Banking group, and has covered the Western bank space for over 11 years. His primary focus is advising Western banks and thrifts on mergers and acquisitions and capital alternatives. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, he spent nearly six years at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc. in a similar capacity. Before moving to corporate finance, Ramsey was an equity research analyst covering Western banks and thrifts for two other investment banks. During his work as a research analyst, The Wall Street Journal recognized him as one of the nation’s top research analysts in the publication’s “Best on the Street” Analyst Surveys for 2007 and 2005. Ramsey commenced his career in financial institutions as a commercial bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Banks of Richmond and San Francisco. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia.
