Edward Losty Bio

Edward Losty is a Managing Director for the Investment Banking group, with more than 30 years of investment banking experience serving financial institutions. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, he was Head of Financial Institutions and Managing Director at Mufson Howe Hunter and a Managing Director at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.  As Head of Financial Institutions, Ed focused primarily on commercial banks and thrifts, but has also overseen transactions in other areas of financial services including insurance, specialty finance and asset management. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in hundreds of commercial bank and thrift M&A and capital markets transactions. Ed has handled M&A transactions, offerings of equity and debt, conversion mergers, branch purchases and sales, thrift mutual to stock conversions, mutual holding company formations, valuations and financial advisory services. He graduated cum laude from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
