Mr. Tongring is an Advisory Director at Cypress. has over 45 years of banking experience in marketing, leveraged finance, workouts, and commercial lending. Mr. Tongring joined Cypress from Fleet Capital in 2003. At Fleet Capital, Mr. Tongring was Senior Vice President and Senior Marketing Officer, focusing on leveraged buyouts, restructuring and re-finance in the $25M to $250M range. Recent transactions included agencies on WL Ross’s acquisition of LTV and Bethlehem Steel, as well as numerous other financings. Prior to Fleet Capital, Mr. Tongring was SVP at IBJ Whitehall Business Credit, Finova Capital and Heller Financial. He ran the Northern Workout Group for First Fidelity Bank, and started and ran the LBO group at Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC). At Marine Midland, Mr. Tongring’s group completed over 25 transactions as agent for various LBO funds. Mr. Tongring received his undergraduate degree at Villanova University. He did graduate work at Fairleigh Dickinson University and attended the Mortgage Banking School at the University of Maryland. He has also been a licensed real estate broker in New York. He is not employed by the broker-dealer.
