Angelica Lai is a Principal at Cypress Associates. Ms. Lai has a broad range of experience in mergers and acquisitions analysis, restructuring and bankruptcy advisory assignments, private placements of debt and equity and litigation consulting. Ms. Lai is a skilled practitioner of technical implementation of various valuation methodologies and leveraged acquisition models and projections. Ms. Lai has worked on many of Cypress’ most important assignments, including StoneMor GP’s investment in American Cemeteries Infrastructure Investors, an affiliate of American Infrastructure MLP Funds, the sale of Micronetics to Mercury Computer Systems, the restructuring and sale of ChemRx, the §363 acquisition of PJ Finance by Gaia Real Estate, the management buyout of Case Pomeroy & Co., representing the Special Committee of Aristotle Corporation in its proposed sale to Geneve Corporation, Cenveo’s sale of Supremex to the Supremex Income Fund and representing the 100% equity owner in the Chapter 11 case of Venture Industries. Ms. Lai has also worked on a wide range of complex litigation consulting assignments including the Activision derivative litigation resulting in the largest derivative settlement ever, AIM Midstream’s litigation against ArcLight, the defense of Inergy LP against shareholder litigation and the Just Care appraisal litigation. Ms. Lai has also been an integral part of all of Cypress’ work on behalf of the United States, representing the Justice Department in the Enbridge Energy and Eagle Materials litigations and the Internal Revenue Service in the Bellmore, Survilla, Marshall and PMG litigations. Ms. Lai joined Cypress following her graduation from Columbia University where she received her B.A. in Economics and Mathematics. During her undergraduate study, Ms. Lai worked at the Accounting Division of the Business Office at Barnard College.
