Joe Kowalczyk is a partner in the audit group at Crowe, and leads the firm’s insurance audit group. He specializes in providing services to various types of insurance companies and insurance related entities. Joe is the lead audit partner on several commercial, mutual, stock and captive insurance companies along with various other risk retention groups and special purpose insurance clients at the firm. He manages a variety of complex engagements within the insurance industry, with emphasis on both GAAP and statutory accounting for insurance clients. Joe is responsible for assisting clients with the implementation of new accounting standards, communication of current reporting requirements and industry issues. He also provides consultation and assistance in due diligence engagements for mergers and acquisitions and is the lead audit partner in charge of the firm’s audit approach and methodology for insurance companies.
