Bio

Mr. Tye’s investment banking practice is focused on providing merger and acquisition advisory services as well as private equity capital raising services to middle market and emerging growth companies. With over 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience, he has completed numerous transactions across industries with clients that include private equity funds, public and private corporations, and family-owned businesses. Since joining Croft & Bender in 2004, Mr. Tye’s primary focus has been on the technology, business services and healthcare industries. As a Managing Partner of C&B Capital, the private equity affiliate of Croft & Bender, Mr. Tye also has experience on the principal investing side, including serving or having served as a Board Observer for BPG Holdings, ControlScan, FX Bridge Technologies, Grayshift, Gro Solutions, Q2ebanking (NYSE: QTWO) and SnagAJob.com, as well as being involved in several other investments. Prior to joining Croft & Bender, Mr. Tye helped start and build ITC Financial Services, serving the prepaid financial services industry. He also worked with public and private companies in his prior investment banking experience with Credit Suisse First Boston, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and First Union Securities. Mr. Tye received an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and a B.S. with Special Attainments in Commerce, cum laude, from Washington & Lee University. He was also the only investment banker named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s most recent Who’s Who in Technology and was selected as Chair of M&A South, the premier networking event in the Southeast for participants in all facets of corporate growth and Middle Market deal making, for 2020 and 2021.
