Bio

Tara Smith is a Director, Strategic Capital at Cowen. Prior to Cowen she was the Chief Operating Officer at MHT Partners. Previously she was a co-founder of MidSpan Partners, and spent over five years in the San Francisco office of Harris Williams & Co. She also spent several years as an investment professional for Key Principal Partners, a middle market subordinated debt and private equity firm, and Riordan, Lewis, and Haden, a private equity firm in Southern California. Tara earned an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a BA in Economics and History at Stanford University.
