Pete is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with 40 years of expertise in corporate finance, accounting, and operational management. For the last 18 year, Pete has represented clients in sale of their business as a transaction advisor. Drawing on his finance and accounting background, Pete has secured financing for business owners and for commercial real estate investors and developers. He is a persuasive and collaborative leader, acknowledged for his proven interpersonal, team building and negotiating skills. Pete's clients value his strong analytical and critical strategic thinking abilities.In 2001, Pete transitioned to a transactional role after a successful corporate finance career. Since 2001 Pete's professional focus has been on guiding business owners to retirement through the sale of their businesses and structuring corporate and commercial real estate financing transactions. Pete brings creativity and tenacity to every client he serves, seeking to secure to the highest value for his client in whatever the context. Prior to 2001, Pete served in senior financial management capacities at two Fortune 500 financial services companies: UnumProvident Corporation and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. During his twelve years in the financial services industry Pete held several roles, including financial planner, controller, and treasurer. In these capacities he participated in a number of strategic acquisitions as a critical member of the acquisition financial team. Pete's experience includes managing complex organizational structures and systems in finance, accounting, treasury, and investment functions. Pete has worked extensively with other financial services companies, venture capital firms and healthcare organizations, as well as many small and mid-sized companies. Prior to 1990, Pete worked for eight years within the business assurance services practice at Ernst and Young, assisting a broad range of clients on financial and accounting matters. Pete is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Global Management Accountant, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a minor concentration in German.
