Mr. Shaw is a Partner and Managing Director at Copper Run, and assists with both Sell Side and Buy Side assignments and business development. Mr. Shaw has experience evaluating the strategic and financial implications of M&A from smaller privately held companies up to $1 billion+ market capitalization companies. Mr. Shaw most recently worked in Corporate Strategy and Development at Huntington Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ: HBAN), a bank holding company headquartered in Columbus, OH. At Huntington, Michael’s primary focus was on mergers and acquisitions of potential bank targets as well as the evaluation of other strategic acquisition, divestiture and JV opportunities ranging in size from less than $10 million to greater than $1 billion. Prior to Huntington, Michael helped co-found a medical device start-up. Also, he worked with a Columbus-area consulting firm where he helped underwrite advanced energy lending opportunities in Ohio in excess $50 million. Mr. Shaw’s career began at National City Corporation (now PNC Financial Group Inc.). Mr. Shaw is a Registered Investment Banking Representative, and holds the FINRA Series 63 & 79 registrations. He is a Board member of The Entrepreneurship Institute, a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and a member of the Conway Center for Family Business.
