Simon Barrass is a Senior Managing Director, having joined Continuum in 2022. Simon is an M&A practitioner specialising in the financial services sector with a particular focus on insurance. He has over 17 years M&A experience, both as a managing director at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods since 2018, and prior to that at Deloitte, where he worked in Financial Institutions Group team in Corporate Finance Advisory from 2005 to 2018. From 2014 until 2018 Simon was an equity partner at Deloitte. Simon has advised on over 50 M&A transactions, sellside, buyside and refinancing over his career, with a client portfolio covering private equity investors, corporates and privately held companies. He has advised on a number of the highest profile transactions in the insurance sector. Prior to becoming an M&A specialist, Simon qualified as a chartered accountant in the corporate tax division of Deloitte (and previously Arthur Andersen before its U.K. operations were acquired by Deloitte). He is now a Fellow of the ICAEW.
