John Rakowski is a Managing Director with Clearsight Advisors.Before joining Clearsight, John was a member of Carl Marks Advisory Groups investment banking practice where he was responsible for leading the firms investment banking and business development efforts in the mid-Atlantic. John has also been a member of the M&A teams at Houlihan Lokey and Deutsche Bank Alex Brown.Over the course of his career, John has advised on a range of financial transactions, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, growth capital raises, financial restructurings and distressed M&A across a variety of industries including, technology-enabled services, business services and enterprise software. He has also provided financial valuations and fairness and solvency opinions, representing both public and private company boards of directors and special committees.On the personal front, John is happily married and the proud father of three boys. John is a connoisseur of fine wines and enjoys good conversation.Mr. Rakowski graduated with high honors with a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
