Zack joined Class VI in 2008 and currently holds the position of Managing Director. Zack’s primary responsibilities include leading Class VI ‘s investment banking division in executing and closing transactions involving the sale or financing of mid-market clients across a broad range of industries. He oversees pre-market preparation, financial modeling, creation of company marketing materials, client management and transaction negotiation. Zack has worked with over 100 clients on transactions at Class VI and personally led over 30 transactions including majority and minority recapitalizations, leveraged and management buyouts, strategic acquisitions and capital formation transactions. He has practical experience in a broad spectrum of industries including consumer products, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing, distribution, software and industrial and business services. Previously, Zack worked with Hopen Life Science Ventures, a venture capital firm in Grand Rapids focused on early-to mid-stage life science investments. At Hopen, Zack was responsible for valuation, due diligence and analysis of potential investment opportunities including initial review of submitted business plans. Zack holds a BA, Economics and Spanish, from Calvin University and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
