Michael is co-founder of Generate BioMed, a clinical-stage oncology-focused pharmaceutical company. Prior to Generate BioMed he was Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets for Paramount BioCapital, a venture capital firm focused on creating and financing a large portfolio of drug development companies. There he oversaw more than $500M worth of equity and debt distribution, and was responsible for successfully syndicating deals among numerous top-name healthcare investors. Michael is a co-founder of Velcera Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Perrigo) and Chelsea Therapeutics (acquired by Lundbeck A/S). He has over 16 years of investment and capital markets experience, including the structuring, restructuring and financing of public and private biotech companies. Michael has cultivated strong relationships with healthcare investors and pharmaceutical companies throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
