Susan Rimmer has taken on leadership of CIBC’s Global Corporate Banking team as Managing Director & Head, Global Corporate Banking. In this role, Susan is responsible for CIBC’s Corporate Banking business across Canada, USA, Europe & Asia. Most recently, Ms. Rimmer was Managing Director & Global Head of CIBC’s Debt Capital Markets business. Her responsibilities included investment grade, high yield and government finance fixed income origination & syndication across Canada, USA and the UK. She joined CIBC following a 15-year career in global capital markets and investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, UK, & Toronto, Canada. Ms. Rimmer is a member of the CIBC Operating Committee and the Capital Markets Executive Committee. She was appointed to the Board of Directors for CIBC Mellon November 1, 2015. Susan serves as Co-Chair of the annual CIBC United Way Campaign. She holds an Honors BA from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
