Mr. Magarian is a digital expert, with operational experience working for technology start-ups in the UX Analytics and Digital Payments verticals. His most recent experience was as a member of the team that established the U.S. offices for ContentSquare a Digital Experience Platform (DXP), which has raised over $310 million to date. Mr. Magarian's role had to study customer behavior, customer journey, cart abandonment, form completion, mobile engagement, and so forth to empower brands to create better experiences. Mr. Magarian established accounts with clients such as Goldman Sachs’s Marcus.com, UBS Smartwealth.com, Electrolux Americas, Walmart, and more. Mr. Magarian can code in SQL (MySQL or MongoDB) & do data analysis in SQL, NodeJS, and JavaScript, allowing him to understand the frontend and database structures of companies he works with. This offers a deeper understanding of who he is working and the job itself when pitching investors. Mr. Magarian’s analytical & big data foundation started in 2001, when he started his career on the OTC Derivatives desk at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, which utilized market data (or “big data”) to price derivatives. Following graduation from business school in 2006, he was hired by the Votorantim Group, Latin America’s largest private industrial conglomerate to establishing their Investment Bank in the USA. He was responsible for origination and placing capital for private equity & feeder funds and private placements between the US, EU & LATAM for Real Estate, Energy, O&G, Infrastructure, and Corporate interests. Mr. Margarian also served as the head of investor relations of Mare Investimentos, an oil & gas midstream & technology fund in Brazil, and he worked for the CEO of Bradesco Securities, USA, until 2014, where he transitioned into technology. Mr. Margarian holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Economics from Binghamton University and a Master’s in Business Administration from HEC Paris. He also attended an executive program in Risk Management at NYU, completed a 1-year graded certificate program in Data Science at Columbia University in 2018 and he continues studying coding in SQL, NodeJS, and JavaScript 2017 to present.
