Joshua Michaels Bio

Josh has spent his professional career focused on the Consumer industry. He joined Sawaya Partners, now CG Sawaya Partners, as a Managing Director, in 2021 to lead and expand the firm’s advisory practice in the Food & Beverage sector, while also continuing his work with e-commerce businesses and DTC brands. Prior to joining Sawaya, Josh spent 12 years at Rothschild & Co., as part of its Consumer & Retail M&A team. He was actively involved in advising public companies, private companies, and financial sponsors on a variety of sell-side, buy-side, and corporate divestiture transactions both in North America and cross-border. His extensive deal experience spanned a range of different consumer segments but was primarily focused on the Food & Beverage sector – advising on over $70 billion of successful Food & Beverage transactions. Josh graduated summa cum laude from Hamilton College with a B.A. in Economics and holds an M.B.A. in Finance with honors from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
