Ercument Tokat is a partner and a founding member of the Healthcare practice at Centerview Partners. During his career, Mr. Tokat advised numerous clients on a broad range of strategic advisory assignments and transactions exceeding $200 billion in value across developed and emerging markets. Mr. Tokat’s notable transactions include Pfizer’s $160bn combination with Allergan, $68.0bn acquisition of Wyeth and $11.9bn sale of its Nutrition Business to Nestlé, the $33.0bn LBO of HCA, AstraZeneca's $15.2bn acquisition of MedImmune, Salix’s $14.5bn sale to Valeant, Ventas’ $7.4bn acquisition of NHP, Dyax’s $6.6bn sale to Shire, Mylan’s $10bn acquisition of Meda, $5.3bn acquisition of Abbot’s Branded Generics business in an inversion transaction and $0.8bn acquisition of FamyCare, OSI’s $4.0bn sale to Astellas, Thoratec's $3.7bn sale to St. Jude Medical, Algeta’s $2.9bn sale to Bayer, Celgene’s $2.9bn acquisition of Pharmion, New River Pharmaceuticals’ $2.6bn sale to Shire, ICOS' $2.4bn sale to Eli Lilly, LifeCell's $1.8bn sale to Kinetic Concepts, Cadence Pharmaceuticals’ $1.3bn sale to Mallinckrodt, Cougar Biotechnology's $1.0bn sale to J&J, Trius Therapeutics’ $0.8bn sale to Cubist, $0.5 sale of Dendreon to Valeant, Optimer Pharmaceuticals’ $0.8bn sale to Cubist, Achillion's up to $905m WW HCV collaboration with and $225m equity investment by J&J, BioAlliance Pharma’s merger with Topotarget, Phillip Morris’ joint venture with Mitsubishi Tanebe and subsequent joint acquisition of Medicago, Haemonetics' acquisition of Pall Corp.'s Blood Filtration Business, Thirdwave Technologies' sale to Hologic, Virochem’s sale to Vertex, the LBO of Symbion, Intercell’s acquisition of Iomai, American Bioscience’s merger with American Pharmaceutical Partners. Mr. Tokat serves on the Boards of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, and is a member of the Global Leadership Council at The Brookings Institution. Mr. Tokat is also a Vice Chair of the Child Health initiative under the Office of the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Financing the Health Millennium Development Goals. Mr. Tokat received his BA from Bogazici University and MIA from Columbia University.
