Emlen Fischer joined Centerview Partners in 2010 and is a founding member of the firm’s Technology practice based in Palo Alto. Mr. Fischer has over 10 years of experience advising companies on a variety of strategic, financial and transactional matters. He has advised on over $200 billion in transactions, primarily in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Select advisory assignments include advising on Qualcomm’s defense of Broadcom’s hostile takeover; Seagate and Bain on the Bain Capital-led consortium’s acquisition of Toshiba Memory Corporation; Cisco Systems on its $2.7 billion acquisition of Sourcefire and its $5.0 billion acquisition of NDS; Panasonic on its acquisition of ITC Global; MICROS on its $5.3 billion sale to Oracle; Cognizant on its $2.7 billion acquisition of TriZetto; Xerox in connection with its spin-off of Conduent and its $8.3bn acquisition of ACS; Alcatel-Lucent in connection with capital structure and strategic alternatives, including raising a €2.0bn multi-tranche, senior secured credit facility; Motorola in connection with the $10.0 billion spinoff of its Mobility & Connected Home businesses; and Embarq on its $11.6 sale to CenturyTel. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fischer was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions group at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Fischer holds an undergraduate degree Mathematical Economics, with honors, from Haverford College and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
