David Handler has over twenty-five years of investment banking experience, representing clients on many of the largest and most transformative transactions in the Technology Sector. Mr. Handler joined Centerview Partners in 2008 and heads its Palo Alto based Technology Industry Practice. Mr. Handler is a strategic and transaction thought partner to CEOs and Boards as they navigate through the rapidly changing and increasingly complex technology industry. His experience spans across a wide variety of engagements including Strategic Reviews, Shareholder Communications, Activist Defense, Spin-outs/Carve-outs, Mergers, Acquisitions, Capital Allocation and Financing. At Centerview, he has advised on numerous landmark Technology transactions, including Qualcomm’s defense of Broadcom’s $130 billion hostile takeover; Seagate and Bain’s acquisition of Toshiba Memory Corporation for $18 billion; over $15 billion of transactions on behalf of Cisco, including its recent $4 billion acquisition of AppDynamics; Motorola’s Strategic Review, its $1 billion sale of its Network Business to Nokia, $9 billion Motorola Mobility tax-free spin-off and subsequent $12 billion sale to Google; Micros Systems in its $5.2 billion acquisition by Oracle. Mr. Handler is Chairman of Penn National Gaming. David is a Trustee of the Phillips Brooks School in Menlo Park, CA and a Board Member of Playwrights Horizon, one of the leading public theatre companies in New York City. David holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA in Finance from New York University Stern School of Business.
