Richard Newman Bio

Richard has operated in the Midlands corporate finance market for 25 years. He has considerable expertise in cashflow and alternative lending, gained with The Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and a specialist debt fund. After qualifying as a chartered accountant Richard moved into corporate finance with Baker Tilly followed by gaining experience of equity markets (Official List and AIM) with KBC Peel Hunt. Working closely with owner managers and management teams, Richard has funded in excess of £100m over the last two years to support transactions across various sizes and sectors, including Private Equity and M&A transactions. Richard is a graduate of the University of the West of England in Bristol and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has served as a Board Director and Trustee of a local charity.
