Mike de Windt brings 30 years of private equity experience investing and advising middle-market manufacturing and business service companies. Prior to joining CM&Co, Mike was the founder and managing partner of Gates Group Advisors, LLC, a Cleveland-based consulting firm that advises closely held, middle market companies throughout North America. GGA works with business owners to create value by executing growth plans through the application of proven private equity-based strategies. Mike is also the Sr. Managing Director and CEO of Gates Group Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm that invests in lower middle market operating businesses throughout North America that provide basic services within select segments of transportation industry. Prior to founding GGCP, Mike was the Founder and President of Grand River Industries, a private investment firm with a focus on industrial middle market investments. Prior to Grand River, Mike was on the corporate development staff at NACCO Industries (NYSE:NC) a diversified holding company with interests in materials handling, consumer products and coal mining. In addition, Mike has served on and chaired numerous corporate and non-for-profit boards. Mike has a BA degree from Williams College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
