Mr. Kirkpatrick works closely with management, legal, and investment banking constituents to identify and implement profit restoration initiatives and restructurings, including M&A transactions. He has served in various roles for numerous companies, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer, Corporate Controller, and Creditor Advisor. His broad industry experience includes oil & gas services, steel, copper, chemical manufacturing, transportation and logistics, food production and distribution, entertainment (theme park), and business services. Before joining Carl Marks Advisors, he was CFO of PARC Management LLC, a nationwide operator of Theme Parks, with seven parks generating $120 million in revenues. There, he was involved in the acquisition and operational integration of the parks, including Six Flags, providing financial reporting, cash flow management, supervision of accounting, banking and audit relationships. Previously, Mr. Kirkpatrick served as Corporate Controller of Griffin LLC, a $400 million global manufacturer and distributor of generic crop protection chemicals. He was responsible for corporate accounting, financial reporting, operational planning and had global functional reporting responsibility for four regional finance directors and four manufacturing controllers. Mr. Kirkpatrick’s early career was in public accounting, Oil and Gas exploration and production, and specialty chemical manufacturing. He served as Vice President, General Mgr., Controller, and Auditor in such firms as Sun Chemical, Anadarko Petroleum, and Panhandle Eastern Corp. Mr. Kirkpatrick earned a BS in Accounting from East Tennessee State University, where he serves on the Accounting Dept Advisory Board and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Tennessee.
