Stephen Funnell Bio

Mr. Funnell has over eight years of experience providing financial and operational advisory services to distressed companies. He works closely with company owners, management teams, private equity groups, lenders and investors across various industries. His experience includes lender and debtor side engagements, where he is responsible for building in-depth financial models, including operating forecasts, 13-week cash flow forecasts, store profitability analyses, and cost reduction plans. As part of these engagements, he has also been involved in performance assessments, working capital improvement strategies, liquidity management, profit improvement and business plan execution. Before joining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Funnell worked at Tiger Group LLC, where he served as a Manager of Financial Analysis, focusing on both lender and debtor side engagements, providing effective solutions to distressed companies’ critical issues. Mr. Funnell holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a FINRA Registered Representative.
