Chris and his business partner David Tolson formed CVA in 2005 with a mission to ensure entrepreneurs get the most out of their investment of time, energy and money in their companies. Sharing a passion for what entrepreneurs mean to our community, Chris and David felt they could do a better job for entrepreneurs and have had a great time helping clients ever since. Prior to CVA, Chris spent more than 20 years gaining experience in executive management, marketing, sales, transactions, and law. Chris helped found and was the President of Expanets, the nation's largest provider of converged communications solutions. During his tenure with Expanets, Chris led the acquisition and integration of 27 companies, ranging in size from $2 million to over $1 billion in annual revenues, and helped lead Expanets through a significant turnaround during a turbulent time in the communications industry, leading to its acquisition by Avaya in late 2003. Chris has also invested in and started other companies in communications, construction and consulting. Prior to Expanets, Chris was an associate with the law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati. Chris's board memberships have included the Association for Corporate Growth – Denver, the Enterprise Communications Association, the Telecommunications Industry Association, ChanneLynx, Popular Telephony, FutureProof Communications, Silvercloud Construction Group, Castle Pines Village Design Review Committee, BidBridge Colorado, South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, and the Dove Valley Metropolitan District. Chris was previously named one of Denver's Top "40 Under 40" business leaders by the Denver Business Journal, and during his tenure at Harvard, Chris was the Managing Editor for the Harvard Law Review.
